NSF proposal recommended for funding

A team at Syracuse University and I were recommended for funding by the National Science Foundation! Kari Segraves, David Althoff, myself, and David Rivers were funded through the Population and Community Ecology Core Program in the Division of Environmental Biology, for the project Ecological dynamics of multi-mutualist communities. This work will be testing testing hypotheses about the population and community ecology and evolution of mutualism using a synthetically-devised mutualist populations of yeast, which reciprocally over-produce and fail to produce different amino acids needed for survival. This is fantastic news, which will likely mean that I will be working in the lab at Syracuse University soon!
